What I Have Been Learning
I have been learning a lot about Cinema Verite that they make documentaries that are real so their audience can see the truth to what they think they know and what is actually true. So far our teacher mentioned one of the most famous guys who do a lot of Cinema Verite documentaries. His name is Michael Moore. He does a lot of research and actually go to the places to find out more things and facts of what people don't actually know. Our teacher showed one of his documentaries called 'Bowling for Colinbine' which is about him exploring what he thinks our causes to Colinbine High School Massacre and other acts of violence with guns. Also we learnt what forms and convention are used to make a documentary and why these form and convention are used. Most conventions that are used in documentaries are 'use of materials', 'quoted materials', voice over commentary, 'Participants (those involves)' and 'supporting photographs'.
First Impression
My first impression on starting A2 Media so far has been exciting and intriguing to learn about different documentaries and different type of documentaries used. So far we learnt about Cinema Verite and that Cinema Verite use a lot of hand-held camera to make their documentaries more real for their audience and finding real facts to investigate instead of making them believe in things that are not true. This has been quite interesting to learn. The people who make does Cinema Verite documentaries don't edit their clips a lot because they want it to make it real for their audience. So far this has been interesting to learn.
